Marsillach is a name that has been associated with theatre in Spain for over a hundred years. Adolfo Marsillach, father of MAA director Cristina, founded La Compañía Nacional de Teatro Clásico. Blanca Marsillach is currently on tour with her own production company's versión of April in Paris. Actor/director Cristina Marsillach is currently directing the Marsillach Acting Academy.

The Marsillach Acting Academy is located on Calle Moratin just two blocks from The Prado Museum in the Barrio de las Letras, old Madrid - a neighborhood with many inexpensive hostals, outdoor cafes, restaurantes and shops.

The Academy is now offering - under the direction of actor and director Antonio Cantos, founder of El Teatro Español de Londres, a three-week workshop that will culminate with a production of Lorca’s Boda de Sangre. The class is limited to twelve students.
