Summer 2007 - The Academy offers two two-week courses. They will focus on how to teach Spanish through the use of acting techniques and are recommended for teachers of Spanish at all levels.
Courses will be referred to as "C" & "D" courses.
“C” course will run from June the 3rd until June the 17th from 10 am. to 6 pm, with the following program.
- The Spanish Comedy
- The Spanish Musical Comedy: La Zarzuela.
- The Spanish Comedy in the movies.
“Maribel y la extraña familia”, by Miguel Mihura, will be the play used in class and will provide the central model for our workshop. The course will culminate in a public performance.
The classes will be complemented by body and voice warm-ups, improvisation exercises, discussion and demo of theatre techniques for teaching Spanish as a foreign language and grammar exercises.
Price for tuition: 750 €
D course will run from July the 8th until July the 22nd, from 10 am. to 6 pm., with the following program.
- The Spanish Drama
- The Spanish Folk and Poetry Songs
- The Spanish Drama in the movies.
“Bodas de Sangre”, by Federico Garcia Lorca, will be the play used in class and will provide the central model for our workshop. The course will culminate in a public performance.
The classes will be complemented by body and voice warm-ups, improvisation exercises, discussion and demo of theatre techniques for teaching Spanish as a foreign language and grammar exercises.
Price for tuition; 750 €
Free time activities will be organized according to students’ cultural interests and at additional cost.
